I absolutely love the humor in this novel. It seems so upbeat and happy in comparison to Jane Eyre which was so bleak and pessimistic. This romance has started out to be an enjoyable beginning and I am sure that I will enjoy the rest of this book. The language seems to be a bit faster that Jane Eyre and a bit harder to understand but Jane Austen seems to move on quickly with the story and does not dwell and spend long boring periods of time on descriptions. This makes the story a bit harder to follow but much more interesting and witty. I adore the characters too, and find them to be more fun than the ones in the previous books and stories we have read. They seem to have a fun sense of humor unlike all the characters in the gothic tales which seemed to have a really dark and weird sense of humor, these guys are sarcastic too, I love that and cant wait to see where this goes.
