I really like the book so far, and the plot and story line really intrigue me. The characters all seem very interesting to me except for Elizabeth’s suitors, with the exception of Mr. Darcy of course. Mr. Collins is another dry fellow who doesn’t really catch my attention. He seems like such a typical knight in shining armor, boring and perfect. Mr. Wickham seems a bit more tasteful, but still has the same boring, husband material, vibe. The responsible, well mannered, gentleman, looks great on paper, but they do not seem to have any excitement or adventure in them, this pretty much leaves them as boring rich guys who need a wife so that they have an excuse to use some of their inherited money. Although they are not my favorite characters, I feel that they are going to stay in the story for quite a bit of time. After all, Mr. Darcy needs someone to compete with to win Elizabeth’s heart, and Mr. Wickham might pose a bit of a challenge. Elizabeth reacts prejudice to these guys, much in the same way that I do, she has not even got to know them but immediately finds them boring and stereotypical. Mr. Darcy on the other hand, dislikes these two impostors on his territory and reacts in a mildly defensive sort of manner.
