CD 15,16

I really liked this book. My favorite part was the last chapters of the book because everything and everyone finally were where they were meant to be. I have to admit at first I was upset because Mr. Rochester was blind, but then at the end he regained sight in one eye just in time to see the birth of their first child and that was so sweet it didn’t matter anymore that he could only see with one eye. As for whether I thought the book was better or the movie I would have to go with the book. My only reasons are I thought it slowly built up the suspense so I couldn’t stop reading and it explained things and people more thoroughly. Even though overall I liked the book better it was a hard decision for me to make because the movie was also very good. If it was one of the options I would have had to have said the two complete each other. In some ways the book was better and in some ways the movie was. The movie was better because all the eerie things, sounds, and settings were better understood and imagined by actually seeing and hearing them instead of having to guess at what they were supposed to be like. The book was better because all the little hints and clues as to what was really going on in the book would have been almost impossible to see or hear, although the movie tried by showing the red scarf from the window it wasn’t as exciting and suspenseful as reading them and letting your imagination run wild. Overall I liked both a lot, but like I said if I had to pick one I liked better it would have to be the book.
