PP: Assignment 5

So far, I have liked the book as I’ve stated before, but after these last couple of chapters, I don’t know how to feel about it. I feel completely thrown off, because I was completely not expecting Elizabeth to think that she was not in love because of the lack of emotion she feels upon founding about Mr. Wickham and Miss King. I thought a first that to me like she seemed to like Mr. Wickham, and now it seems as if it is set in stone who she going to hook up with in the end, unless there is somebody else that has not come up yet in the in the story yet. On the other side though, it seem that Darcy would have been a more suitable fit for her, due to his money status. What seemed funny to me was how ridiculous Miss de Bourgh looked when she continued to interrogate her. I think that Jane Austen may have been trying to satirize the humor in the snootiness and pride of the upper-class citizens, as well as how stupid it makes them look. Despite slight disappointment of how things have recently turned out, I am slightly curious to know how the story changes now that Mr. Wickham appears to no longer be a factor. In addition, I am also curious to know what will happen to Jane, and how their mother might feel about this all.
