Pride and Prejudice assignment 5

The humor of Mr. Collins and Lady Catherine de Bourgh, is that they're very clueless. They don't seem to be very smart and they like to criticize other people that are not as fortunate as they are. The way it's funny is because they really must not know what they're saying because they just say very stupid things. Jane Austen might have been criticizing the stubbornness or snootiness that people of that era would act if they were wealthy. Jane Austen is criticizing about the way that Mr. Collins and Lady Catherine aren't very smart and yet they like to show off their money and they like to call out people that aren't very rich. I found that very stubborn of them and prejudice because they don't know much about these people and they go off expecting that the lower class is stupid, and dirty. Something else I think that Jane Austen would've criticized is that some wealthy people aren't very smart themselves, and some are prejudice of lower class people because they think that they are superior to everyone without much money.
