PP: Assignment 2

I was not sure how the next couple chapters were going to go considering everything that had just happened in the beginning of the book. I was at first surprised when Darcy started to like Elizabeth, but at the same time. I say this because it has to with the influence this book had on Jane Eyre. When Jane first meets Rochester, there relationship was very shaky, and despite numerous things that seemed to happen, look how that turned out. Now he seems to have a very large interest in her, I just hope he doesn't do anything to mess it up. I think the thing that I am most curious about how the whole inheritance situation will affect the story. I think that because of how we talked in class about the influence that money had and how it played such a crucial role in marriage. I think that this could have a positive effect on the story in the sense that it could speed up potential marriage. However, at the same time, it could come back and potentially harm an important relationship, at a very pivotal part in the story. I am also intrigued to know if Elizabeth and Darcy will find a connection with each, whether it is because of growing emotions or because of money. Only time will tell.
