in the first act of Taming Of The Shrew, we meet Lucentio who is the son of a rich man all the way in Pisa. he is talking with his most trusted servant Tranio. then while waiting around a big arguement it heard where two young girls and two old men come out nagging this other old guy about marriage. the father named Baptista has two daughters named Katherine and Bianca. Bianca is the nice and pretty one while Katherine is all mean and pouty. and then after this big fight Lucentio tells Tranio to switch identities with him so he can sneak into the household as a teacher and see Bianca. and then we see petruchio, who is sort of controlled into marrying Katherine.
