1. The trick being played on Christopher sly is a rather mean one. A rich guy comes along and sees him lying asleep on the floor outside of a bar. He decides to conduct an “experiment on him” in which he will dress him up in nice clothes, put him I a room in his house, have his servant dress up as a girl and pretend to be his wife, and basically make him think he’s a rich guy who just woke up from a bad dream.
2. The Taming Of The Shrew is considered a play within a play, because the story is being acted out in front of Christopher Sly by a bunch of actors. This play is considered to be his entertainment while he wakes from his sleep.
