A5,P&P

Mr. Collins is such a sissy to me; sometimes I do think it’s funny to watch him in action. Every time he brings up Lady Catherine de Bourgh it annoys me. He treats her like she’s a shrine or something way more important than a church and he adores her too much. You don’t know what to expect of her but you think she is the type of person who doesn’t take nonsense from anybody and has her facts straight. But in my opinion, she seems like a bitter old lady who always has her nose in someone else’s business. And she’s always criticizing someone or something for no apparent reason. She and Mr. Collins act just the same when it comes to certain things. I think they are both stuck up and think that what they say is more important than anybody else. I believe Jane Austen is making them think that they are the most important people in their estates and everybody loves being around them when really people think they are a complete bore, especially Mr. Collins. I think she manages to make it funny by having them say some of the most ridiculous things and how people like Elizabeth would react to what they say.
