Elizabeth probably thought he sabotaged her sister’s engagement because of him and Elizabeth not liking each other and he just did it out of misery. She was a little upset when she found out about it because of the fact that was her sister and she was closest with her the most and it hurt her a lot. That was why she thought he was being cruel about it. Now I will say I knew Mr. Darcy’s feelings for Jane were going to come around eventually but I didn’t think he was gonna go all out and propose to her not knowing what kind of feelings she was having towards him. Honestly, I don’t know if I would or could accept a proposal like that. It would have to depend on how I’m feeling about that person. When Elizabeth receives a letter from Darcy, she finds out that Darcy and Wickham had a dark past together. Apparently, Mr. Wickham tried to marry Mr. Darcy’s sister for her fortune. She is extremely shocked to the point that she didn’t know what to say about it. I think she was at loss for words because she tried to make Mr. Darcy mad by almost falling for Wickham.
