Assignment # 6

Elizabeth thinks Mr. Darcy sabotaged her sister Jane's chances of marring Mr. Bingley because of the economic difference. In my opinion I think Mr. Darcy's proposal could have and should have been a little more emotional and romantic and a little more from the heart. If I was ever proposed to like that I think I would be greatly offended. I would not accept that proposal because if they can not act like they care enough to give me a good proposal then I wouldnt want to marry them. Darcy reveals that he and Wickham grew up together and when Mr. Darcy's father died he wanted Mr. Wickham to become a minister but Mr. Wickham had other plans with his life. He took his share of the money and left. Then he came back a couple years later. And professed(?) his love for Ms. Darcy. He pretended to be in love with her while she actually fell in love with him. they were engaged to be married but when he found out she wasn't going to be getting any money, he left her.
