Assignment # 4

What i like about this book so far is that it's a book that grabs my attention and keeps it by adding humerus topics and making fun of the society in that era. Also, Jane Austen was pretty bold to make fun of society and call out the rules that people in that era were used to by making one of the main female characters, Lizzy, be so witty and smart. Also at the beginning of "Pride and Prejudice", she says that a man with a lot of money MUST be looking to get married. I think she wrote this because in that era most woman could not marry for love. Because if they did they wouldn't be able to live very well. Another thing I like about this book is the way that Jane Austen describes the characters. Unlike Charlotte Bronte, Jane Austen uses dialog instead of long paragraphs to describe her characters. She lets you make your own impressions while Charlotte Bronte gave you an opinion. Also, the way that Darcy starts out thinking that Elizabeth was just stupid, dumb, and not pretty and changes pretty quickly into thinking, maybe there's more to that girl, and wow she has some pretty eyes. So overall I think that this book is a lot more fun to read then "Jane Eyre" because of the happiness shared in this book and the way Mr. Bingley behaves all the time.
