A8,P&P

Elizabeth finds out that Lydia ran off with Mr. Wickham to London and is planning on getting married. I think this is such a big deal because it then puts the Bennet family to shame because of Lydia’s choice. It affects everybody especially Lizzy, Jane and Mr. Bennet. It affects Jane and Lizzy because that’s their baby sister and more importantly because they know about Wickhams past and his intentions so they feel that it’s their fault that she’s gone. I think they should’ve said something regardless if they were sure or not, because that would give everybody a heads up on him. It affects Mr. Bennet because he knew if he didn’t let Lydia go to Meryton, this whole thing wouldn’t have happened in the first place. I do think that Mr. Bennet should’ve listened to Lizzy who she told him not to let her go and I think he realized that that was his mistake. Now Lizzy finally understands why Darcy has so much against Wickham and I think he has the right to. Darcy decides to give Wickham his money instead of Gardiner because he feels more responsible for Wickhams actions and is doing it out of respect. That also helps Mr. Bennet because now he doesn’t have to pay back Mr. Gardiner. I don’t understand why he would do that though because if I were Darcy, I would’ve snitched on Wickham. I think everybody with exception of Mrs. Bennet is pretty upset about the fact that Lydia has still proceeded to get married to him. Of course, Mrs. Bennet is all happy pappy about it and I think she’s crazy because I wouldn’t let my fifteen-year-old daughter run off and get married.
